Exploring
Corfu town has a myriad of lovely streets and a magnificent esplanade, the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by or to take a rest before exploring the ancient streets with Venetian buildings and monuments, Byzantine churches and fortresses, museums and the palace of St George and St Michael. Mount Pantokratoras has incredible views of the entire island and is home to a monastery with frescoes and icons from the 14th and 15th centuries. The neighbouring islands of Paxos and Antipaxos are easily visited.
