Lefkas Travel Information

Meaning ‘White Island’, Lefkas gets its name from the white cliffs, and white sand and pebble beaches that line its Western shoreline. The island is linked to the Greek mainland by a narrow causeway which runs into Lefkas Town. Away from the coast, the island is green and mountainous. There is just the one main road on the island which runs around the coastline. The steady summer breezes on the island, have made it popular for watersports. At Nidri is the sailing centre, whilst in the south of the island Vassiliki is a mecca for windsurfers.

The nightlife on Lefkas is quiet and low-key. It is just a beautiful island on which to enjoy a relaxing holiday and take in the beautiful surroundings
