A rugged coastline of tourist-friendly beach resorts. The gorgeous sandy coves and fresh pine scented forests of the Costa Brava are where Britain’s love affair with Spain began.
In the North-Eastern corner of Spain, colourful fishing ports, medieval villages and the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona are all waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
The sand and shingle beaches bathed in the warm Mediterranean sun, range from pretty coves to curving sweeps of coarse sand. You will be spoilt for choice with countless clean, spacious stretches of sand lining the coast, whether it’s Blanes or the coves at Tossa de Mar.
No trip to the Costa Brava would be complete without a trip to Cadaques, the home of Salvador Dali. This beautiful white village, with quiet streets waiting to be explored has a distinctly Spanish atmosphere. The Dali museum in Figueras is home to an array of interesting art which is entertaining for all ages.
With resorts varying from the large and lively, to the small and cosy, there are an assortment of activities to suit all tastes too. A wide range of watersports are available, as well as coastal walks, traditional markets to explore. For the kids there are waterparks, including Waterworld, Aquatic Park or Marineland.
